About the Artist

I paint light, weather, and atmosphere—quiet moments when the land and sky feel briefly timeless. My work is rooted in direct observation to preserve the mood of place.

Artist Statement

My paintings are conversations with weather and distance—built from layered color, restrained edges, and the subtle temperature shifts that carry mood. Whether working on location or in the studio, I aim for images that feel inevitable rather than invented, letting the light suggest the final form.

Process & Materials

Approach: Plein air studies inform larger studio works.

Medium: Oil on panel or linen, archival grounds and varnish.

Framing: Oil paintings shipped with custom frames. Watercolors are shipped matted without a frame. Watercolors are treated with a wax to prevent the need for framing under glass, which prevents glare.

All works ship safely and insured.
